The Dr. Basavaraj Nagur Memorial Trust was started in the year 1991. By Dr. K.B.Nagur in the fond of his father Late Dr. Sardar Basavaraj Nagur who was a freedom fighter and bold and honest politician and was an Independent M.L.A from Bijapur city constituency in 1957. Who strongly believed that education is pivotal to the overall progress of a healthy community and his vision saw the birth of this education is progress of a healthy community and his vision saw the birth of this education trust. Founded by his son Dr.K.B.Nagur who has taken up the task of transforming his dreams into reality as the chairman of the trust.
Dr. Basavaraj Nagur Memorial Educational Trust has established and Dr.B.N.M. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College in the year 1992 September. This college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is recognised by the Government of India. Health & family welfare AYUSH departments, New Delhi.
