This institute was established in 1998 by Guru Nanak Educational Charitable Society (Regd.) Gopalpur, (Ludhiana) registered with the Registrar of Societies, Punjab. The affairs of the society are being managed and looked after by its experienced senior members, headed by the worthy President Dr. Balwinder Singh Walia an eminent educationist.
Guru Nanak Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Institute, Gopalpur (Ludhiana) is affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur & recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi. The very first admission to the BAMS with just 22 students was made in Jan. 2001.
