Shri Kalidas Education Society was established in the year 1977 on a firm foundation of religious, moral, intellectual, and cultural values. A group of members with great commitment and enthusiasm under the leadership of Shri B. B. Chimmankatti (Ex-Minister of Karnataka) started this difficult movement to provide for all sections of Children to get an education.
In the beginning, the society started free boarding facilities, as the days passed the management started many other new courses. Society had entered new arenas like science, arts, commerce, job oriented courses & Medical courses, etc. It is a great honor to have 14 sub-institutions under the name of the society.
The management decided to start a new medical course in 1992 which was a difficult movement to receive the medical course to the weaker section of the society and gradually started a post-graduate center. Nearly 2000 students are now studying under the roof of society.
