M.S.M. Institute of Ayurveda was established in 1973 with the aim of nurturing the Indian System of Medicine in the state of Haryana. Since then, the institute has emerged as a leading center among various university institutes by providing quality education and instilling a strong ethical medical culture in students. It is now a constituent college of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonipat, a state university recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956. The institute is also recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, Government of India. It offers a 4½-year degree course in Ayurveda (Ayurvedacharya), leading to a B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree. This is followed by a one-year rotatory internship designed to enhance the clinical skills of students. During the internship period, students receive a monthly stipend as per university norms.
